I blew it, I forgot about CJ's Doghouse's one year anniversary here on the web. Seeing it was exactly a week ago, I guess this could be a belated celebration. Been so cold outside, and we haven't been taking many photos, but here are a few from this past Friday when we finally got some warm Spring like weather here. CJ is doing good spending tons of time eating, sleeping, and going on walks. We are both anxiously awaiting Spring and Summer so we can spend more days outside like we did on Friday.

I just love how this camera (a canon digital rebel xt) does not turn his eyes into some weird color or better yet just make them white. You just can't help but love those big brown eyes!

CJ loves food so much that the empty bag even has some appeal, or just the smell of food that he loves so much. These photos were hard to capture, he was moving so fast. I think he wanted to take a nap with the bag as he was trying to get into his crate with it.

Sorry about the sporadic posting over here, I have not been forgetting. Okay yes I have been forgetting to take photos of CJ it has been a bit hectic over here in crafty land. I have to say though the fact that I have remembered to post a few times a week at the very least is pretty good on my part. Don't lose hope the weather is getting better and CJ will be traveling...

CJ Update:
Sorry for the lack of posting this week, CJ managed to hurt himself Sunday and I had been spending time watching him the past three days to see if there would be some improvement. Since he has been known to fake it before. So he went to the vet yesterday and it turns out its his knee, and hopefully it gets better. Although now there is talk that down the road CJ may need surgery on it :o( poor baby. He will not be playing fetch for awhile, as that is really hard on them knees. Our little athlete!

Many of CJ's nicknames come from how he acts, we often times call him Dr. Fang when he roles over on his back and his canines show. He looks angry, but he is the biggest sweetheart.

Since tomorrow will be the official launch date here. I thought I would start things off here with a little pre-launch story about CJ...
These are the first two photos we ever took of CJ, they were taken on January 31st, 2005.

Some facts about CJ:

He was left at a kill shelter in Indiana where the rescue picked him up
We originally went to look at another dog, which turned out to be a bit standoffish. They said there was another dog we could look at
They brought CJ in, and he ran up to me and put his paw on my knee. I was ready to take him home right then, but we had to wait to contact the rescue first
He is named after my stuffed dog Cubby, CJ stands for Cubby Junior
He had hookworm and heartworm which we found out about a month later when he got really sick
He has made a full recovery for the most part, except it takes him a long time to recover after running and playing
